Role And Responsibilities

In the position of Group Manager, you and your team are key contributors to the development of ASML’s lithographic products. You are driving the development based on the roadmap and in cooperation with multidisciplinary group and cross sector representatives. You will align technology choices, roadmap, specification, design and qualification of solutions with the Functional Cluster Owner, within the boundaries imposed by process and planning. You pro-actively drive the development work in your team and participate in reviewing designs. But above all, you will use your leadership and teamwork skills to solve problems and optimize team performance.

In the role of a Group ManagerMechanical Development Manufacturing and Service Tooling, you will:

  • Indirectly leada group of about 30-35 engineers (and 20-25 co-developers). Your focus is on their developmentand employability, on cooperation and the realization of the group objectivesand supporting them with their daily challenges
  • Organize the group (competence, size, roles) based on the rapidly changing ASMLportfolio
  • Take care and develop your people via coaching, training & appraisals
  • Act as the change manager for the introduction of new processes and ways ofworking
  • Pro-actively manage relationships with internal/external partners (incl. operationalsectors)
  • You are accountable for the management and development of individual competenceaccording to a predefined set of targets. You define and implement thecompetence and resource roadmap for your group and you are capable tomaintain a stable focus.
  • You are responsible for delivery to program via projects, priority setting andteam structuring. You interact with project leaders and architect (3-iab) inthe development programs and organize allocation of staff in line withprogram needs.
  • You review project plans and proactively support projectrealization. You monitor and decide on allocation of finances to remainwithin budget restrictions.
  • Attract and develop Young talents & recent graduates (recruitment). Develop highpotentials to enable growth of ASML.
  • Deliver a staffing plan for the coming years
Education and experience
  • Strong technical (R&D) background with min. 5 years of experience leading a team of technical professionals
  • ASML experience is an advantage
  • Affinity with managing cross sectoral business processes in fast growing and dynamic business environments
  • Experience in managing complex stakeholder environments spread across the globe
  • Proven people leader that is able to coach and develop others
  • Experience as business leader, taking ownership of your deliverables and acting end-to-end

Other Information

The Manufacturing &Service Tooling department (M&S), a part of the Development &Engineering Cluster (D&E), is responsible for the engineering andindustrialization of the tooling required to manufacture, to qualify and toservice ASML products and parts; at our suppliers, at our manufacturingcleanrooms and at the end customer at ASML.

You will be reporting to thedepartment manager of Manufacturing & Service Tooling.

This position may require access to controlled technology, as defined in the Export Administration Regulations (15 C.F.R.

  • 730, et seq.). Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to access such controlled technology prior to beginning work. Business demands may require ASML to proceed with candidates who are immediately eligible to access controlled technology.
