International School of Business is the business school of HAN (University of Applied Sciences) and offers English-taught programs in the business domain. We are looking for a Lecturer/Researcher Sustainable Transitions in Supply Chains & Finance.

What you will do
The successful applicant will contribute to the School’s objectives by engaging in scholarly activity through teaching and supervision. More particularly, the lecturer will be expected to provide first-class teaching across the range of education programs at International School of Business.
The successful candidate will 1) be involved in teaching courses related to financial accounting, corporate finance, and supply chain management, 2) contribute to the development of academic courses with a focus on sustainable transitions in supply chain (in particular circular supply/value chains) & sustainable finance, and 3) conduct research in the field of sustainable (e.g. circular) supply chains and sustainable finance.
The candidate will be conducting research, independently as well as in collaboration with other scholars, as member of the Center of International Business Research (CIBR)
Supervising and coaching students during their studies, their internship and graduation assignment will also be expected.

What we are looking for
  • Student orientation;
  • Master degree supply chain management or related fields with a strong research interest in sustainable/regenerative business practices and sustainability transitions. Phd preferred.
  • Ability to self-motivate and to work semi-independently on research projects through to publication (evidenced by publications records).
  • At least 4 years of relevant international work experience;
  • Proof of excellent written and oral English language skills - Cambridge Proficiency level C2;
  • Good intercultural teamwork skills;
  • Research skills to analyze, model, and evaluate sustainable supply/value chains and sustainable finance;
  • Business experience in areas related to this position are a plus;
  • Ability to communicate research findings to a broad audience including students, professionals, academics, policy makers and the general public;
  • Team player, proactive and hands-on attitude;
  • Expertise in educating young professionals.

What we offer

  • Appointment will initially be for one year and will start August 1st, 2023;
  • The position will be at the level of Lecturer level 1;
  • A gross monthly salary for Lecturer 1 of minimum € 3.881,09 and maximum € 5.332,48 (Scale 11) of the Collective Agreement for Universities of Applied Sciences) based on full-time employment (36 hours);
