OpenShift Platform Engineer
Do you want to work for one of the largest banks in the Netherlands in a diverse, dynamic and constant-evolving environment? We are searching for an individual to play a key role in maintaining the stability and security of the Openshift platform, ensuring compliance, providing technical expertice, liaise with DevOps teams, write and manage automation scripts.
Your will be part of a global DevOps team, which is responsible for the maintenance of over 50 applications of the bank. These applications make sure the transactions are done seamlessly and securely by the bank’s customers. The team that you would be part of consists of 7 other experienced engineers, and you will be focusing on the proper functionality of Openshift Platform.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and Support: Ensuring the stability of Private Cloud platforms, primarily Openshift.
- Automation: Crafting and managing automation scripts and configuration management tools with Ansible
- Platform Solutions: Developing and supporting new Platform solutions across various business lines.
- Security Integration: Embedding security measures and ensuring compliance with internal/external regulations.
- Global Infrastructure: Collaborating with the architecture team to implement a global infrastructure for existing and future projects.
- Technical Expertise: Providing technology insights and best practices to stakeholders.
- Third-party Interaction: Serving as a liaison for third-party support and escalation of issues.
- Global Collaboration: Coordinating with global teams to swiftly resolve problems.
- Disaster Recovery: Active participation in High Availability and Disaster Recovery tests.
Desired Skills and Qualifications:
- Openshift Proficiency: Extensive experience (3+ years) in Openshift Administration and Management (both fron end and Back End).
- Automation Skills: Proficiency in automation technologies, particularly Ansible.
- CI/CD Pipeline Knowledge: Experience with Development CI/CD Pipeline technologies like Jenkins, Nexus, Bitbucket, and Sonarqube.
- Process Familiarity: Background in Agile/Scrum, DevOps, and ITIL processes.
- Communication Skills: Strong communication abilities for effective team collaboration.
Additional Requirements:
- Openshift Certification: Proficiency in Openshift Administration demonstrated through certifications or practical experience.
