As a Senior Legal Counsel of Suitsupply you will be part of the legal team, supporting all Suitsupply departments in a wide variety of legal matters, such as: commercial contracting, intellectual property, franchising, employment, real estate leasing, construction, IT, privacy, insurance and other matters. With a commercial and business-oriented point of view, you can find pragmatic solutions for complex legal and business challenges. Your typical day includes:
  • Providing legal support for all Suitsupply departments, including providing strategic guidance on a wide range of legal issues
  • Partnering with the business teams to draft, review and negotiate all sorts of commercial agreements and documents of any kind that create legal obligations, rights, or responsibilities for Suitsupply
  • Monitoring deadlines, managing litigation and disputes, as well as overseeing corporate compliance
  • Working in close collaboration with local counsels on legal projects in multiple jurisdictions
This job might be for you if you have:
  • Master’s degree in Dutch law
  • Approximately 5-8 years of relevant multi-disciplinary working experience gained as a lawyer at a law firm
  • Inhouse experience in an international setting (in retail fashion related industry) is a plus
  • Good knowledge of commercial contracting and rental/real estate law
  • An M&A background is a plus
  • A commercial sense of relevant legal issues with an ability to get things done. You are capable to adapt to a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work quickly, decisively, and independently
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Fluency in English and Dutch
