About The Unit

As a Turnaround Engineer you are a key player/actively participate in all phases of a turnaround (preparation, execution, close-out), following the Yara Turnaround Process.

Responsibilities

• Be a role model and take care that activities are being executed in conformance with Yara’s Values & Management system;
• Review or assemble work packs for effective execution and to the required quality to maintain /restore integrity and reliability / availability;
• Coordinates activities associated with third party contractors and services and procures parts necessary for repairs or overhauls.
• Monitors delivery dates and notifies scheduler of planned and actual delivery dates;
• Work in close cooperation with the inspection team to determine the best suitable repair procedures:
• Lead teams during preparation and construction;
• Build relations with technical personnel within Yara Sluiskil, third parties, other Yara site and the technical network within Yara International.
  

Profile

• Bachelor or Master degree in Mechanical Engineering;
• Proven experience in maintenance and turnarounds of chemical plants (minimum 10 years), with focus on piping and static equipment;
• Capacity to handle complex problem solution, good analytical skills and “hands on” attitude;
• Good interpersonal skills, with an open mind and high motivation;
• Ability to function effectively in a team and with a high level of self-motivation
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Dutch;
